o Tiger Trot: Students ask family, friends and neighbors for donations before participating in a 1-mile fun run. PTA buys a shirt for all students and staff. Snacks, drinks and other activities follow the run. Students raising the most money win a Snow Cone Party.
o Book Fairs: Tomahawk holds two book fairs: one in the fall through Scholastic Books and a used book sale fair in the winter where Tomahawk families donate books and games and all proceeds go toward the 5th Grade Fundraising for Wildwood.
o Skate Parties: Skate with friends and raise money!
o Food Nights: Raising money for the school couldn’t get easier or more delicious. Keep an eye out for flyers sent home announcing places, dates and times to show up and eat. Restaurants donate a portion of the proceeds to our school. The best part? No Dishes!
o Box Tops: Look for the Box Tops symbol on your usual purchases. Scan your receipt and participate digitally on the app.
o Trivia Night: Tickets to this PARENTS ONLY event include a night of food, drinks and a light-hearted trivia contest, thanks to the generosity of community sponsors.
o 5th grade activities:
Pancake Breakfast: Tomahawk’s annual Pancake Breakfast is sponsored by 5th grade families raising proceeds to support the following year’s trip to Wildwood Outdoor Education Center. Every year 6th graders use the money they raised from events in 5th grade to support their 2-day trip, which enriches their education through outdoor problem-solving and team-building activities.
Ice Cream Social: Also sponsored by 5th grade to raise funds for their 6th grade Wildwood trip, Ice Cream Social kicks off the school year in the coolest and sweetest way!
